Baby, Snow, Rice [7/12/2003]
This wasn't just one dream. This is by far the most number of dreams I've ever remembered in one night.
I've done two in one night before, but now I've gotten three down. Well, I called this "Baby, Snow, Rice"
because those are the three things that stood out from the dreams in which they were contained.
Well, the first dream started out in a big house. I started out in the front entrance to this house and
there was a hallway leading into some other room in the back and a stairway off to the side that went
upstairs to another hallway area and a dining area. I went up the these skinny stairs and a baby came
sliding down the railings of the stairs. One hand was on each of the railings and it just slide down into
my arms. I picked him up and carried him upstairs to a few children who were in charge of him. The hallway
went to the right, and was a few people wide with a number of doors on each side. I walked a little ways
into a dining area on the end of the hallway. The room was lit by two chandeliers above a dark polished
wooden table. A number of older people were at the table including my parents. I was a bit late and they
were serving hors d'oevre cookies. So I got up and took some from a tray on the side table and sat down to
eat them. Then the dream ended.
The second dream was a little harder to remember. Probably because it was the middle dream. Well, we were
in some campus apartment area in the winter. I left some building with some random people I somehow knew
and we were seeing how many people walked through this rough area of the snow by an apartment house. We
counted 10 people that had walked through the snow. Well, I walked along these foot trails and up to this
parking lot that was nearby. Then I walked back to the little white apartment house that was next to those
tracks. I went to the door and a package was there for my dad. I opened the door and my mom came up to
the door. We seemed sad because in the dream my dad wasn't alive for some reason, and this package was
some old stuff of his. Then the dream ended.
The last dream took place in a big meeting room with blue walls and a white ceiling and a table was in the
front with a bunch of chairs set up for people to sit. We were in some kind of rice cooking class, and most
of the people there were Japanese. We were trying some rice with some sort of soy sauce thing mixed into
it. It was enjoyable but a bit salty. The professor talked about stuff and then the class was dismissed.
I went up to talk to the professor about my grades and he said that my 4.0 wasn't good enough and I knew
that a 4.2 would be acceptable in the class. After this I woke up.
