Pot-pie-napping [6/16/2003]
First, before anything else I recall, I parked the truck down at the bottom of a hill. Afterward, Mysage
and I were walking up a hill through a small wooded area. We reached some sort of gatehouse with fences
on both sides. The entrance to the house was on the far left of the small building, and a keypad was set
to the right of the door. Mysage seemed to know the code, so she punched it in and the door opened. We
entered the gatehouse and walked to an exit to the far right on the opposing wall. Inside the gatehouse
I found a stereo system and a pile of CD's. Mysage punched in a code again and the exit opened up and we
left the gatehouse.
We walked up to a house that was laid out a lot like my house, but it was more of a log cabin instead.
We went in and found a number of people there. It seemed as if Mrs. DeLaRosa, my old Spanish teacher,
was the hostess. Well, we stayed there for a bit, but Alia and Mysage were looking to head out.
However, Alia left her lights on and asked if I could jump it with the truck. Mrs. DeLaRosa, being the
hostess that she was, refused to let me jump her car and insisted that she do it instead with her SUV.
It was a much better choice since I didn't really trust the battery in the truck, and the truck was way
down the hill.
I exited the building with Mysage and Alia and Mrs. DeLaRosa. I saw her car parked there, but it wasn't
the same car as before, and it was painted dark blue. There was a huge strip on the edge of the hood
missing, so a good foot or so of the engine cavity was exposed. The strip was almost a clean cut, and
extended the whole depth of the hood. At least it wasn't lengthwise, or the latch wouldn't have worked.
I asked Alia how it happened as I inspected it closely. She said she sorta cut it off with a certain CD
that I don't recall. I wasn't sure how a CD could cut through metal, but it seemed she told the true.
Well, I departed from Alia along with Mysage and we headed down the hill again. This time as we reached
the gatehouse, I noticed a large mechanical spider that seemed to be guarding the entrance to the
gatehouse. It looked rather ready to attack, but seemed to recognize us. A few CD's lay about on the
steps to the gatehouse.
We went to the door, and Mysage started to enter the code, but after only putting in two of the five
digits, the door opened. We were perplexed by this and though perhaps that someone broke through. We
went in and things seemed to be in order. I went to the other door and pushed on it and it opened
without need of a code. Another mechanical spider guarded that door, and was startled as I opened the
door. Mysage and I walked slowly past the spider as we left the building. It seemed to watch our every
move as we went down the hill.
At this point it got cold out and I had a fleece jacket on. Snow seemingly covered the trees and it was
winter where it once was summer. We headed down the hill through the snowy woods and entered a log cabin
down there. It seemed we were expected. A number of friends were having a party here as it was in the
other cabin. We hung out with people there and talked until dinner was ready. We all went into a large
dining room and sat down. I sat next to a former friend, Chris Hall. A giant chicken pot-pie was served
and one person grabbed a small piece for them self. I took the serving tools and the hostess, whom I
didn't recognize, told me not to take too big a piece because the pieces are rather big. I mostly
ignored her and proceeded to cut a huge section of it, and she kept telling me not to take such a large
piece. I shortly divided the large section of it into small piece as I was merely precutting a number of
pieces to go around. I took one piece myself and handed out several others. Then I passed down the
pot-pie to the rest of the people to serve.
Just as I got rid of the pot-pie, a desert pie, just as big was put out in front of me. I cut this the
same way and grabbed my dessert plate that already had some sort of apple crisp on it, and put a piece of
this pie on it. I passed it down and sat down to eat but my piece of pot-pie was gone. I asked around
and people chuckled, and then I asked the hostess and she said that the pot-pie was all gone. I looked
around and didn't seem my piece and kept asking where it was. I asked the hostess and she said there
might be some in the fridge, so she went and returned with a bread bag, and I told her that I wasn't
looking for bread, and that I wanted my piece of pot-pie. She said there was none left. I started
yelling at her that I wanted to know where the piece I had cut for myself had gone. She continued to
remain clueless and seemed to think I was asking for seconds, but all I wanted was the piece the somehow
was taken from me.
I looked around some more and saw a slice of pie that looked like it, and I said, "Ah, there it is!" I
walked over and found it was just a slice of an unusual green ice cream pie that looked a lot like the
pot-pie. I walked around some more and all I found were slices of dessert cake and pie. Then I woke up
from the dream to the sound of my alarm.
