Matzah Bread Toss [8/06/2005]
This dream was a little odd. I was on a big field with lots and lots of people who all seemed high school aged. It appeared to
be some sort of field day. There must have been hundreds of people there.
In the event I was partaking in, Everyone lined up in teams and the goal was to toss some sort of flat food object into a fire pit
that was about 10 or 15 feet in front of the line. There were quite a few of these fire pits lined up and everyone has some kind of
cracker or giant potato chip or something that measured about 3.5 inches wide and 9 inches long. They would hold it the short way
and toss it as close to the fire as possible, and they were judged by how it landed.
Well, it was my turn, but I didn't have one of these items to toss, so I went hunting around for something. Mrs. Haenel offered a
big potatoe chip to toss, but I wanted to find something different. I went looking around in the back of this van that supposedly
belonged to Mrs. Swinforth (Who I think died a few years ago). She showed me a few of the ones I could use, but I wasn't satisfied
with that.
I went looking through a ton of things, and finally I found a small stash of these items all stacked together under some boxes and
stuff. One of them was a big piece of Matzah bread. So I took that.
At this point, everyone at the even was waiting for me, so I ran back to the crowd. I was in the kind of situation where my throw
had to be perfect so my team would win. So I tossed the bread slice and it hit a backboard right behind the fire and fell on top of
the fire and I was awarded the highest number of points for a toss, and our team won. I then woke up.
