Crashed Cocktail Party [07/16/2002, ~5pm]
I had the weirdest dream this afternoon. I took a nap because I had a headache and was very tired after
changing my sleep schedule by 5 hours just to get a dentist appointment.
Anyway, I don't remember how the dream started, but what I do remember is that it was summer break and
thus me and some friends [no one I know right now] were partying hard looking at the girls and admiring a
large assortment of fine beverages on that fine evening. We were probably about 21 or so with a zoot suit
attitude.
A couple strange things about this are that I had the inner being of a 5 year old, as did my friends. We
hated girls and yet our older side liked them. The fine beverages were stacked like you would do with
champagne glasses.
An older gentlemen came over, seemingly knowing us, and asked for a list of drinks, one of which was
some sort of oil thing. In my mind I was thinking it was a drink made from jellyfish. We poured him a
glass of this strange substance out of a large blown glass bottle with no neck on it.
What happened next was when it got weird. I watched as the whole party started going into chaos. The
tables and things turned over and this strange oil drink poured out all over and started flooding the
scene and crystalized into a sugary substance that was quite delightful. We [me and my stranger friends]
attacked what seemed like a tent with an attached camping trailer. We were determined to get on top of
it, and we successfully did. The whole thing collapsed and we all fell safely on top of it. I suspect
the oil thing was from watching Barbarella this morning and the Mathmos (yes, it's spelled right. I
think they made it up for the movie.) in that movie which was like some kind of strange oily substance
that fed on evil things.
--Just before this, I had fallen in love with the school ice queen and everyone hated me for it-- Then
we tackled the tent and the whole thing fell over and the party was ruined. Then my dad, Bill Cosby
[possibly because I was watching his show this morning], was chasing us for ruining the party. The whole
thing got blamed on my girlfriend.
Suddenly, I and my "girlfriend" became 5 year olds. I had to break up with her because my dad [Bill
Cosby] wouldn't have it since "she ruined the party". After that little scene, I followed after her to
her house because my friends, who were also 5 year olds, wanted to date her. I then came back home and
my dad and sister [I don't have a sister though] were trying to cheer me up because I was depressed
about having to break up with her, but I ran away from my dad as much as I could, but he chased me down
and tackled me with a blow-up fuzzy monster doll thing. I was almost cheered up from being tickled in
the ears by it, but then I woke up from the dream.
