Jeans Installed [09/24/2007]
So, I first recall being in a mall shopping around with my friend, Jon. I have no idea why him of
all people. Perhaps because I haven't seen him in a while and was wondering what he's been up to
lately. Anyway, I'm in this mall with him, it isn't too unlike a mall I've dreamed up before,
recently.
I enter a clothing store and look around and go to the back where the jeans are (I seriously just
went out and got a pair of jeans at Target the other day, so maybe this is that thought being
catalogued). There are some clearance items on sale there but I don't buy anything from that
selection.
At some point I see Mr. MacD. in the mall and we, or rather, he starts talking to me. I pay
attention, but continue shopping through stores all while he stands out in the hallway and makes his own
way to another store. I worry to myself that he might think I'm not listening, but I keep going on with
my own business.
Eventually I catch up to him just inside some kind of variety store, and he's discussing how he needs
this computer set up and that he followed most of the directions I had told him, but he got to a point
and was stuck. It sounded like he was setting up Windows on a computer.
Suddenly I'm outside next to a small hut near a large farm house of sorts, and he gives me the
computer to look at. I finish the install process, but the install did not close itself up properly and
I was confused for a minute that things might not have been set up right. I then kill the install and
it appears things were all installed already and running normally. But Windows did not look like the
Windows of today -- not like Vista or XP. It seemed more business oriented and has more complicated
features but still had its classic start menu, which I thumbed through while setting things up.
At this point, the computer was all set, and I was about to go inside for dinner. Instead my parents
came out to insist I come to dinner even though I was one step away from coming on my own. Apparently
the Mr. and Mrs. MacD. both joined us for dinner. I then woke up.
Apparently this is all a mix of current events as they have been unfolding recently. A mix of
shopping and discussing some business with Mr. MacD., and visiting my parents for dinner on
occation.
