Castle Strategy Game [4/16/2005]
Had this dream that I was playing this strategy board game with my dad and a girl that I couldn't identify for some reason. It was
a game where you have a set of pieces much like in chess, but it wasn't quite so two-dimensional. Each player had their own board
which indicated your castle and surrounding territory. Half the board was the castle and the forward half of it was the surroundings.
I'm not sure who it works because I was playing it for the first time in this dream.
There was also a deck of cards that I'm guessing had skills or specials that you could use to beat the other teams. I had no idea
how to play, so I guess I didn't have my men set up well in order to guard my king. And my dad played a card right from the beginning
that must have allowed him to assasinated another player's king given the right conditions, so I lost right from the start.
I got infuriated from this and argued how unfair it was and left. The next thing I knew I as driving to the MacDonald's house, and
the scenery along the way was a little different than I'm used to it being, although not entirely unfamiliar. And that's where I woke
up.
I have a feeling that this dream has something to do with my frustration about being sick after not having been sick for so long,
and that is sorta demonstrated through the fact that I just totally lost it. Not only did I lose the game on about the first turn,
but I also got really angry and stormed off. I don't think I've ever lost a game that fast nor have I been angry in years.
