Stairwell [12/16/2003]
Okay, really short dream I had this time. I was in some sort of high
school that combined the style of both mine and my brother’s school. I
was going up the many stairs to the third floor to go to glass and all. I
sat through class and it sorta just fast forwarded to the end of
class.
Got out of class and was walking down the stairs, but then we were
actually walking up the stairs to a landing that led to nothing. So I
turned around and went back down the right way, and this girl I was
walking with went the other way and jumped off the landing and onto the
stairs downward.
I then walked past her and somehow tripped and fell over the edge of
the lower landing and started falling to the ground floor. At this point
I was like, “wait a minute, it’s not suppose to happen this way,” and I
suddenly reappeared at the top of the stairs again, and it was the end of
class and so I ran out of the classroom and down the stairs, but this guy
ran ahead and pushed me and I again fell over the side of the landing and
fell almost to the ground floor.
I thought again how it wasn’t supposed to happen this way. So it
rewound again and this time I walked down the stairs and somehow got
pushed over the edge of the landing. This time I fell down and couldn’t
rewind it so I panicked. Right before I hit the floor feet first, I
reappeared sitting on the bottom step of the stairwell. I looked around
and got up and walked out to the middle of the hallway. Then this teacher
pointed out to her class of little first graders saying something like,
“Now you see, thankfully God exists, or else Steven wouldn’t be alive
right now.” And she pointed to the spot where I would have landed. I
walked over and saw there were these two foot marks that just sorta melted
through the floor and below the holes in the floor was some sort
inter-dimensional space that didn’t follow your basic laws of physics and
visual rendering.
I moved around the holes in the floor and the area underneath rotated
around in weird directions like it wasn’t just a room underneath, but some
kind of visual illusion.
So then I walked back to the middle of this hallway/voyeur area and met
up with a few people and there was some psychedelic music playing and we
started dancing.
I then woke up at this point.
