Crazy Accident [3/15/2004]
This dream was a little dangerous or whatever. I found myself at a place on one side of a
highway and my brother was on the other. Both of us in our usual vehicles and it seemed we were
about to start heading home. I think it was Calvin and Hobbes (in the flesh sorta) that enticed
us to race home. I did try and keep it safe though. I drove only five miles over the limit at
all times. I listened to the engine and tires to keep track of how fast I was going. Matt was
pulling away from me, but I remained only at 70 or so. Then he slowed down and I had sped up
while I wasn't paying attention to it. So I went by him on his left and took a back position in
a group of cars. Then Matt crazily drove in the middle of the lanes and went right in-between
the cars.
He went on ahead and I slowed down and got into the right lane. Suddenly everyone was doing
crazy things like Matt and cars ran into each other left and right. Then one truck went from
the left lane and smashed all the cars in the right couple lanes as I just barely made it around
them.
Everyone was crashing up and there were cops ahead probably investigating the problem. I
pulled over to the side and got out of my truck and looked around. The road seemed to be coated
with some glop. It sounded like these cars were crashing because the glop made the cars
suddenly stop when they came in contact and they had nothing to do but slide and run into each
other.
Matt, and one other friend of Matt's came walking over and I asked them if they were alright.
Matt's car was fine but his other friend's car was totaled. So we started walking down the
highway towards the direction we were traveling. Then I realized my truck was fine so we went
back to get in the truck and leave, but it was gone. Someone said it was just towed to a lot.
Then we stood there waiting for authorities to show up hoping we could get a lift to the lot
where my truck was.
That never happened, but a school bus stopped by and picked up some people from that school
district. We were thinking of going on the bus, but too many women and children needed to use
the bus, so we got off and started walking home again.
Then the scene flashed to just outside of a loop of houses and I met up with a family of a
friend of mine. And we were joking around about how worried my parents were when we got home.
Then the mother of this friend of mine corrected us and said how my mom thought we were dead
until many hours later when we arrived home. I then woke up.
