A Band of Goblins [04/09/2003]

I had a bizarre dream last night. It was hard to tell what time period it was set in due to how strange it was. It started of at first by the thought of "first there was one guy, then he was captured and replaced with a girl, and then the girl was captured and replaced by the guy again and now there are two guys." The first real memorable vision was of me and what looked like my little brother running through some fields and woods playing. I appeared to be about the age of 12 in the dream and my little brother seemed about 8 or so.

We stopped by a couple trees in a pasture and I started teaching him these signals involving x's and y's for some reason. I soon got the impression that we were on the run from something that was capturing us. Shortly, two girls appeared in the group from somewhere. they were about the same age as we were.

At this point the signal I was using changed from '2y' to '2x+2y'. I believe the x's and y's were like sex chromosomes or something of the sort (y = girl and x = guy?). This was probably because of my biology class and by genetics test in that.

While we were standing by this tree discussing these signals, we saw our enemies slowly approaching in large number. We quickly picked up more of these items that we used to make signals with. They included anything from those letter fridge magnets to some sticks. We took off to our right and ran toward what seemed to be our hideout.

As we ran, we went slowly up a hill and gradually to our right through a wide, large clearing of trees, as if the trees were cut down and removed. As we reached the top of the hill, we ran to the entrance of a warehouse store. The I took as our hideout. I believe this is the second time I dreamt about a warehouse store. We ran in and hid among the lawn furniture in one of the isles. I then peaked around to the right and saw they were coming our way.

Thise enemy of ours appeared to be a band of goblins/orcs led by a few humans. One of these human characters seemed to be leading them. This female leader of theirs wore like some kind of battle suit. They quickly found where we were hiding, and I threw a hockey puck, of all things, at her. It didn't really do anything, and she didn't seem to be phased by it. She demanded the two girls from our group and one of our hamsters (kept in our hidout appearently). Around this time I wasn't really aware of the whereabouts of the other guy in the group who looked a lot like my brother.

We refused to give in to her orders. She quickly came back saying something like, "Very well then. I will go get the one who deals with people who refuse to give up their hamsters." She walked out and we knew she was getting some kind of really mean henchman.

Meanwhile, the other henchmen made attempts at taking care of the matter themselves and so I proceeded to try and stop them by flipping a large cage (where we kept our hamsters and things protected) up so that the entrance was above the cage. This way they couldn't just walk in, and their climbing abilities seemed much less than average.

I shortly woke up from the dream at this point and was in some kind of mood where I felt like taking a bat or some arrows from the sportsman section of the store and beating the daylights out of all those goblins and that mean leader woman.
