Mixed-Up Cupboards [7/6/2003]
I had this unusual dream that I was getting up this morning and was late
because my alarm only went off once (which it really did, but I snoozed
it). So when Matt came in the room to tell me we're late, I argued that
after redoing the sound of the alarm, it only went off once, and figured
that there must have been a bunch of silence after the recording.
So I eventually go up and went out into the kitchen and through to the
dining room. There my friend Kevin Moyles and some other random extras
were eating breakfast. Kevin and one other were eating cellephane
breakfasts (prepackaged stuff). They both had two little bags of potato
chips and a big bag of something more breakfasty but I don't recall what
it was. The last guy at the table was having some kind of cereal.
I went back into the kitchen to see what was there to eat. I looked in
the cupboards and found cereal and oatmeal. I decided I might have some
oatmeal with raisins and honey and such. I figured then I could laugh at
those eating bagged foods. Well, my friend, Stephen MacDonald, was also
suddenly there and he started looking in the cupboards for food. So I
helped him. I found the food in the cupboards to be all mixed up somehow.
There was a thing of gummy bears in with the pasta, and there was a cereal
box in the wrong place as well. So I proceeded to put the items back in
order. I'm not sure how the cereal box was standing in the one cupboard
because our cupboards are designed in a way that cereal boxes could only
stand up in like one of the cupboards.
After reorganizing the items, I eventually woke up. I never actually made
my oatmeal in the dream.
