Business & Muffins [2/08/2004]
Well, this morning I ended up with two dreams again. The first, of course, was longer than the second.
The first dream started out where I drove into this business complex and went into a building looking for a job. I looked around
and found all these businesses were cluttered amongst each other. You'd walk from one room into the next and be in a whole other
business. I went into one tech-business and asked about a job and they referred me to another tech business that started with and
"e-" that was just in the next office, which I went through on the way into this office.
So I went to look there and found it wasn't what I wanted, so I left and walked around outside and saw my old boss closing up shop
and it seemed like something sketchy was going on. I almost wonder if he actually was closing the business.
I left that spot and ran into my boss from Brand Olde PC and he offered me a job and I worked to move some stuff around and then I
had to leave to go somewhere else. I followed my boss out and then took a couple turns and suddenly found myself in oncoming
traffic. I panics for a moment and moved over to the left lanes and out of oncoming traffic. There were arrows on the road telling
which way people were to go, but still found it hard to read the arrows. It looked like everyone drove on the left side.
Then a police car came along and pulled into my lane, which was even more confusing, so I pulled off, and as did another guy
behind me. Then everyone wasn't driving cars. They drove these pads that just slid along the ground. The police officer had to
slow down really fast to avoid the two of us other people, so he pulled out a spray can and sprayed this goop on the side of his pad
and quickly slowed down. It almost seemed like he was spraying coolant to keep the friction of stopping from melting the pad. I
promptly woke up from this dream and somehow lapsed into another dream shortly after.
This second dream I started off thinking I really had to get up and not fall asleep again. But I fell asleep again anyway. But I
was still starting my daily routine according to my brain. I dreamt I went into the kitchen and split one of those "fork-split"
English muffins with just my fingers. Normally they're hardly even split apart and you still have to use a knife to get them apart.
But this just came apart with my bare hands.
I put the muffin into the toaster and pressed it down, but it didn't go down. Then one slice of the muffin started sparking with
electrical sparks and then burst into blue flames. I was panicking because I couldn't get the toaster to pop back up and I couldn't
blow out the flame as much as I tried. I then woke up.
