Serial Killer [10/11/2003]
Finally had another memorable dream again. Weird as always. Well, I don't know if these two parts joined
together or not, but it seemed like they were the same dream. So anyway, lets get started.
At first, I was at a college, didn't look like Clarkson or Potsdam State, but it certainly seemed that way
because I felt like everyone was bidding farewell and I was leaving to go home. So I pulled out of this small,
packed parking lot and drove down the road to my right. Went around some bends and over a hill that seemed like
it was in Troy because of all the houses cramped together on each side. I was going to go my normal way home,
but decided to take a left and stop at a house and say goodbye to some people (maybe like I actually did when I
went to the spaghetti party before coming home from visiting everyone up in Potsdam last weekend). So I took
this left and headed out to a house that seemed like it was right on a huge highway, and I think I stopped there
to visit some people I knew from Potsdam. Left there eventually and headed out on the highway.
Everything seemed pretty normalish up until now. But then some things changed around. I was driving down
the highway and ended up in the desert near a small town. I had a CB radio in the car and people were asking
everyone to take up places to check out because there was a serial killer on the loose, and he was setting traps
for people to fall into. There were two kinds of traps. One was like a rifle with a string that someone could
trip and get shot. The other kind was a sand pit, sorta like the one in Star Wars, but without the monster in
the middle. These all had a pool of water in the middle. For some odd reason all these guys were ordered to
take care of areas that happened to have the riffle traps in them, and none of the guys got hurt. However there
were a number of reports of the women falling into the pits and drowning/getting covered up with dirt.
I happened to be nearby when one of the women fell into one of these pits. She scrambled as much as she
could with no luck, and I ran down and pulled her up. This ended up being Kristin. We stood at the top of the
pit and surveyed it. The far side of the pit had all but disappeared and we could now see all the way to the
ground which was like a shale floor with some cliffs around, some trees and a waterfall. It was very beautiful
looking. But then, stuck in the left side of the pit, we saw a dead elephant and a dead rhinoceros sticking
out. We couldn't figure out where they came from or why they were there.
So we turned around and found ourselves on the back porch of a nice log cabin. We went inside and people
from Potsdam were there. Andrea and Mary Ann were cooking some kind of breakfast. Andrea came over and offered
us hot peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on blueberry bread. We each took one, and they were quite hot. I
hate trying to eat something when it's really hot. Eventually I woke up and found myself cold because the
blankets had moved around and sorta flopped off of me. Seemed strange since I was just dreaming of hot things.
