Bodiless Man [08/08/2002]
I dreamt last night that I was at an event taking place in our church fellowship hall/gym but the
meeting wasn't put on by any Christians. They seemed like atheists by how they responded to my
questions.
The meeting started by getting into groups of two. I felt like a newcomer, probably because the meeting
wasn't affiliated with my church. Most of the attendees were small children between 5 and 10 years of
age. I was paired up with a young boy. Each group was given two network cables and a hub for
connecting them together. The groups were spaced out to begin with. We were given the task of wiring
things together in some fashion. I found this rather simple; however my young partner was confused
about the whole thing. I helped explain it to him and then talked with and older gentleman about their
beliefs.
After a while, the older gentleman rounded up the groups together to do a larger task involving these
network devices. I found myself paying little attention to the task and instead argued with another man
who only had a head which was fixated to a sheet of paper. He kept saying that everything is irrelevant
and that everything we do doesn't matter. I continued arguing with the man for a while.
All the time I was arguing, the other gentleman sat on the sidelines and kept saying, You sissy
in a mean tone of voice. I continued arguing and asked the head what doctrine he believes. He kept
saying that everything is irrelevant. After a while he said that they purposely go through life and try
not to make any influence on the world and such. All the while, the other man kept calling me a sissy
for reasons unknown to me. I found myself annoyed by the bodiless man's arguments and wanted to throw
his head around, but I didn't. After a while of arguing over beliefs, I woke up from the dream
to the sound of my alarm.
