Military Experiment [2/05/2006]
I had this most unusual, yet short dream this Sunday morning. I don't believe I was really in the action of this one. I was simply observing as a whole.
I dreamt that I was watching from the defender's point of view as a huge army stormed this town and completely obliterated it. The army arrived over the seas and
stormed the shores of this small settlement. Shots were being fired simultaneously as huge holes would get ripped through army tents and through small buildings.
In no time, the entire place was desolate. Things were burning and buildings and tents looked like shredded paper from all the blasts that rittled with bullets and rockets.
The scary things was seeing the advanced technology this invading army had. Just the fact that the attack lasted no more than a minute said something about it. The
scarier thing was the mechanical enhancements to some of their army personnel.
I witnessed these massive revolving guns that were 3 feet round and made of a bunch of long-shafted barrels with a plastic tube that encompassed them all. The center was
empty except for a handle of sorts which allowed a person to hold this thing as it fired. The barrels were neatly alligned inside around the circumference of the plastic
tube, and as it fired you could see small flames flying out the barrels as the shots ripped through anything that fell into its path.
After the invasion which left the opposing army dead, the victors surveyed the damage for signs of life and whatnot. I then saw Jennifer Lopez walk out of a bullet rittled
tent as if she had entered it only a second ago to see if there was anything alive inside. But this wasn't just your average J.Lo. She spoke with a drawl and stutter that
made her sound as though she were mentally challenged. She had the same tone of voice as you'd expect her to have, and her body was brittle like she would normally require a
wheelchair to get around. But why was she able to walk around you ask? Let me tell you.
She was wearing some kind of plastic mech suit which was much like the revolving gun I described earlier. Some metal strips ran along the sides of these tubes that held
the whole suite together. One of her legs was encompassed by this tubular plastic that spread a couple feet wide and most of her upper body was in a similar casting. Her
arms were likewise with massive guns capable of the most lethal damage. Her legs didn't bend at all so she basically waddled around from one spot to another. In her
waddling, she showed signs of deep depression.
After coming out of the tent, she went over to a group of her superiors who praised their success in this rather murderous event and J.Lo. spoke up in her drawl asking
something to the effect of, "Why do you make me do these things?" Meaning why was she instructed to destroy this place and these lives. She wasn't given an answer any sooner
than I woke up from this dream.
I can only imagine this coming out of my watching The Iron Giant not many days ago, and perhaps in relation to the recent episodes of Naruto where a girl displays little
hope as she is forced to be a monster (and possibly destroy innocent lives and whatnot, but that I'm uncertain of becuase I haven't seen what is coming next). How this
applies to my own life? I don't really see where it fits outside of a general sense of depressing boredom.
