Trailer Tradegy [5/26/2003]
This dream was really short. I was in a wheelchair for some reason. I
had to go to a building to do something. I couldn't remember what it was
that I had to do there, but it seemed like some sort of errand in college.
I then wheeled my way back toward another building.
I stopped as a few vehicles went by on this dirt driveway. I saw the
easiest way to get back was to cross the drive, so I saw a good opening in
the small bit of traffic. A yellowish coach bus went by and I started my
way across. There was a big red tractor-trailer that was coming, and I
had plenty of time to cross. I somehow barely made it across as he
started to pass. I felt I was safe as I kept moving toward this building
that looked a bit like a coach bus. As I got closer, I saw the trailer
was jack-knifing and was going to hit me if I didn't move. I wheel right
up to the building, and the trailer kept coming. I stood up and started
climbing in one of the many windows. I was most of the way in and my leg
was still out the window. The trailer swung against the building and
smushed my leg as it slid against the building. I sorta groaned in pain.
It didn't seem to hurt that much. It felt more like what your leg would
feel like if you were cringing.
The trailer slid by and I was free of it and my leg was fine. I finished
climbing in and saw a bunch of my friends there. I conversed with them a
bit and talked to some guy and retold him the entire story of this trailer
squishing my leg. In the process of telling him, the whole dream repeated
itself in a day-dreaming sense. I finished telling him, and he seemed
quite awed. I then woke up from the dream at this point.
