Bloody Murder - Shay LaPlante [2/20/2004]
I was watching all these kids and it started raining. So I got them all safely in the van and then the rain
started pouring down really hard and we were sliding all over. I couldn't see anything and we hit a tree and I
passed out.
When I "woke up" I was at a warehouse and I wasn't in a van I was on my bike and the kids were gone and then
this cute guy was helping me and he lead me into the warehouse but I saw this hand lying there bloody and it was
like this other dude who had been murdered. Suddenly the cute guy grabbed me and held broken glass to my throat
and was like I'm going to kill you.
And I was like...."I didn't see anything...I think you're really handsome and sweet and I see the deeper you".
(Cause dude he was going to kill me) and so he kissed me (eeewww). Then he moved into my apartment and lived with
me and I was so terrified and he kept telling me it was a good thing I loved him or he'd kill me.
Then the cops found the dead guy...only he wasn't dead. it turns out that the guy had almost been killed and
so I was all happy because I thought that they would find the bad guy and come rescue me. But instead the cops
were evil and they lobotomized the guy in graphic visual detail. There was also a cat and dog that he'd killed
and I was like look cute kitty....ahhhh bloody dead kitty.
And I was stuck with the bad guy and I was crying and then my "landlord " burst into my house and started
leaving his stuff everywhere and I was like "this is my home" and he was like ..."well I own the place".
And then I woke up.
Interpretation: Murder often refers to a large amount of anger whether it's a recent fight with someone or a
long-term bubbling to the surface. Shay said she had a fight/argument with a couple people (Kate and John), so
this is clearly about that. The dead cat and dog represent her anger with a girl and a guy respectively (Kate and
John). Other than that, there's not a whole lot else to interpret. The subject of her arguments most likely
have something to do with the other parties involved in this dream (the kids and the police).
One observation Shay made... I don't really get any bloody dreams, and I also don't get angry with anyone. So
thus goes to say that you shouldn't go to bed angry or you'll have some murderous graphic dreams. Perhaps like
this one.
